Schoolhouse Rock Live! comes to Costa Mesa

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is kicking off its 2014-2015 Family Series with Schoolhouse Rock Live! Yes – just like the show that you used to watch on Saturday mornings. My fave song? “Conjunction Junction.” It’s so addicting!

You can catch Schoolhouse Rock Live! in Orange County on October 3rd and 4th.

About Schoolhouse Rock Live!

A nervous young schoolteacher wonders how he’ll reach his students on his very first day in the classroom and his answer comes via colorful and imaginative renditions of classic songs from the beloved Emmy Award winning Saturday morning cartoon series. Audiences of all ages will delight in infectious – and educational – performances of classics I’m Just a Bill, Conjunction Junction, and Interplanet Janet.

This retro family/friendly show does include modernized and updated music. The set utilizes impressive technology such as having video integrated with the choreography and even projected onto prop and set pieces.  The Holly Windingstad set design was inspired both by the ‘80s video game, Tetris and the currently popular, Minecraft.

Schoolhouse Rock Live! is recommended for children ages 4 – 8
