Be a Santa for a senior this holiday season. Beginning November 29th you can stop by the Community Center, 34052 Del Obispo, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and visit our “Giving Tree” in the lobby to pick up a tag to purchase a gift for a local Dana Point senior. Each tag will have a gift idea for a male or female senior. Purchase the gift and return the unwrapped gift and tag to the Recreation Division office by December 13th.

Santa’s elves will also be collecting letters to Santa. Please include your mailing address on the letter so Santa can return a special letter to you. At our last stop, La Plaza Park, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm the annual community tree lighting ceremony will be held with carolers, hot chocolate, and cookies. The parade is on Crown Valley Parkway between Nueva Vista and Crown Valley Community Park. The designated drop off area for entries and guests is at the northwest corner of Moulton and Crown Valley Parkway.

This year’s theme “Together Again!” celebrates a return to the Holiday Parade and will allow for many fun and creative entries. The parade is expected to attract well over 10,000 spectators and over 3,000 participants including active and retired military members, youth groups, equestrian groups, car clubs, celebrities, floats and community organizations. The parade is taped and rebroadcast several times, which has the potential to reach over 100,000 people in Laguna Niguel and neighboring South Orange County cities.

Parade participants will start from the east end of Lido Island following the celebrated route, with the first public viewing destination at the 10.5-acre Marina Park. Santa Tour | Villa Park Community Room

The Santa Tour will begin at 9:00 A.M. from City Hall and there will be 30 stops about 5-15 minutes long along the way. The parade route and schedule are attached to this post and available for download. Please remember that times are approximate and Santa will travel along the designated route and only stop at designated areas. The Santa tour is a tradition that goes back decades in Villa Park. As Santa rides his fire truck sleigh, he makes frequent stops along the way to share candy canes, listen to children’s Christmas wishes, and pose for some family photo fun. Residents along the tour plan neighborhood parties to get in the holiday spirit while children listen for the fire engine siren in order to best determine when Santa might arrive.
