Get your legs Summer ready with these shaving tips

Chicas – here comes Summer! You know what you’re doing, where you’re going, but are your legs ready? Are they ready to rock that cute Summer dress? Those comfy cut-off shorts? and hello bathing suit!

Tips for shaving legs during Summer // LivingMiVidaLoca.com #SummerizeYourLegs

I have my shaving routine down pat. I shave every day to stay smooth (yes, even during the colder months) because I basically live in dresses and shorts anyway. My usual routine goes like this: gently exfoliate, apply shaving cream, shave down, then shave up, rinse with cold water and slather lots of lotion after patting myself dry. It’s my tried-and-true routine that gives me the shave I want.

However, just because I’ve stuck to my routine doesn’t mean that I’m not open for some new tips. I checked out these helpful tips for a super sleek shave at Walmart’s Beauty Center and walked away with some great product recommendations and help with a few issues that I sometimes come across in shaving.

The tips are broken down into categories so that they’re easy to remember: Prepare, Shave and Protect. The article links to recommended products within the post, which I personally like because it saved me time trying to figure out which product is best. It even features my go-to shaving cream: Skintimate® Signature Scents® in Mandarin Burst.

The article also gave me the opportunity to discover a new lotion that I’ll be picking up soon – Hawaiian Tropic® Sheer Touch SPF 30 Lotion Sunscreen. I tend to apply lotion and then apply sunscreen when heading out (although… sometimes I forget to do my legs). Using this lotion will provide as a great backup to those days when I forget. And of course, you need a razor that works good if you’re going to be using it every day. I personally like Schick® Intuition® Pure Nourishment® Razor because of the built-in skin moisturizing bar. A woman can never have enough moisturizer!

The tips also include help with two major concerns that we come across when we shave – itchy red bumps and dark dots, aka “strawberry legs.” It gives a background on why it happens, and how we can help combat these issues.
