Sharing Latina pride

The phrase, “Soy Latina y tengo la falda bien puesta” is loosely translated to “I’m a Latina and I have my head on straight.” And this is exactly what the Orgullosa campaign is all about, because Orgullosa celebrates Hispanic Heritage everyday of the year!

Orgullosa is inspired by the pride Latinas share in our unique culture. To honor that pride, Orgullosa has created many fun activities for their followers to show how they are a “mujer con LA FALDA BIEN PUESTA”! To kick off the fun, Orgullosa sent over some great new products for me to share with other fellow Latinas. Immediately, I thought of my mom and her friends.

I gathered all the goodies and headed over to my mom’s. We invited her friends over (there was about nine of us) and got to work. In between bites and drinks, we checked out the COVERGIRL nail polishes that we were sent over and got started on our assignment – to paint our nails the colors of our ethnic flag(s) in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Suffice to say that these Latinas did not want to follow the rules. Instead, we grabbed our favorite colors and got to work.

We loved chatting about being Latinas, the colors of the nail polishes that came included in our pack and happenings in the neighborhood.

It was fun to pass on the message about Orgullosa and let them know that there is a whole organization committed to supporting Latinas being the best that we can be.

Stop by the Orgullosa Facebook page and check out the Orgullosa Heritage shareable app that allows Latinas to honor their nationality! Don’t forget to keep checking the Orgullosa Facebook page to find out about the many other fun activities Orgullosa has planned.

This is not a sponsored post. I received products to share with others. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.
