What a fun weekend

This weekend was so much fun! We had a great get-together on Saturday afternoon to celebrate my nephew’s 18th birthday. The best part? It came as a total surprise to him!

We continued the birthday celebration by taking him to go see Resident Evil: Afterlife on Sunday (after having menudo at my MIL’s). I personally thought it was a great movie, though the Hubster wasn’t as enthused with it as I was. Lots of action and girls kicking butt. Ali Larter was a great addition to the Resident Evil line of movies. The movie gets you into the swing of things with a great fighting scene at the start the movie. I wasn’t crazy about the end though… I hate open-ended movies. If you do go see it, I suggest you stay a few minutes after the movie ends, it gives you a sneak-peak at what’s to come in the next Resident Evil movie.

We finished off Sunday afternoon with a slice of “cheesecake” from Native Foods – YUM!
