Connecting over Pumpkin Spice coffee

I love to drink coffee. When Collective Bias® asked if I would share how I create “moments of connection” in a sponsored post, I jumped at the chance! I mean, I love to drink coffee with others. In our family, having our time for cafécito equates to quality family time. When the kids are up, hubster and I make some coffee for each other and Abuelita chocolate for the kids. Although I prefer my coffee black, the late night coffees are always served with a touch of creamer. We jump on all the seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint flavors when they’re available.

We have different preferences in our coffee strength so we use instant Nescafe to adjust to taste. I use two big heaping spoonfuls of Nescafé Clásico to make mine strong, while hubster is fine with just one spoonful. My special bonus for making instant coffee is thinking of my mom when I open up the container. My mom swears up and down by Nescafé Clásico. It’s the only kind she purchased while I lived at home, and still the only brand she uses. So every time I open up the container and get that first whiff of coffee, I think about my mom.

Drinking coffee at night is something that was passed down from my parents and his parents, and it’s not unusual for our kid to ask us if we’re going to be having coffee soon. It’s a wonderful tradition that I hope they continue as they grow up.

Is coffee a daily tradition in your home? I would love to hear if you have a similar way of creating quality time with friends and family over a cup of coffee.
