Brunch at Corazon Modern Kitchen in Brea
Corazon Modern Kitchen is a gorgeous restaurant in Brea that not only has live music, but also brunch every single day of the week!
This new modern and ecletic restaurant serves brunch every day from 11am to 1:30pm.
We visited on a weekend, and were lucky enough to get there when Jacqueline was doing her live music segment.
It was the perfect combination of delicious food and beautiful music. Between her sets, Corazon Moderk Kitchen played Maná – which was just perfect.
We ordered bottomless mimosas (because… duh LOL), a sangria flight and their house-made horchata.
Their horchata is made thicker than usual, which let us know that it would probably also taste amazing in coffee.
When our coffee arrived, we were able to try the horchata creamer in the coffee. What an experience!
We started our visit by ordering guacamole (because if the guacamole is good, then you know the rest is going to be too), queso fundido with chorizo (a house favorite) and tableside aguachiles made with lobster. It was all so good!
Our entrees were a ribeye steak (cooked medium rare) – this comes topped with jalapeno butter and is served with a side of rice and black beans.
The enchiladas de camaron are also served with rice and black beans.
Our brunch items we chose were chilaquiles (you have the option to add meat), and churro french toast served with an egg and house potatoes.
We finished our meal with a mini dessert trio made up of NY cheesecake flan, tres leches cake and abuelita tiramisu.
If you don’t want the trio and you HAVE to choose one – choose the tres leches cake. It is mind-blowing good!
We didn’t get a chance to try Mexican craft beers or their cocktails – so that’s on our list for our next visit.
