Beyond Orange County
Celebrating the holidays at the Disneyland Resort
The holidays will be arriving at the Disneyland Resort beginning November 12th and boy does it have a fun time planned for you.
At Disney California Adventure Park, “World of Color” will take on a whole new look for the season as it transforms into “World of Color – Winter Dreams.” New animation and new uses of the nearly 1,200 fountains and amazing new technology makes this all-new show a must-see!
While you’re there, visit Paradise Gardens because it will be transformed into “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” This NEW colorful, fun, food-and-music-filled spot celebrates the Latino culture and holiday traditions. This is something that I will not miss.
At Disneyland Park, you will get the opportunity to be transported to the world of Asgard and meet Thor, the Mighty Avenger at Innoventions. In Fantasyland, royal sisters Anna and Elsa, from Disney’s upcoming animated feature “Frozen,” have found a special snow-capped location where you’ll be able to take pictures with them, get their autographs, and check out their wonderful outfits!
Of course, the “must have” picture at Disneyland will be waiting for you on Main Street. That’s where the towering 60-foot Christmas tree, festooned with more than 70,000 lights and 2,000 custom-made ornaments is located. It might just be on your next Christmas card!
Stop by the Jingle Jangle Jamboree and meet Mrs. Claus, plenty of Disney characters dressed to the nines in their holiday bests and even Santa Claus! He’ll be there until the evening of December 24th.
The Haunted Mansion remains as spooky and festive as ever with its Nightmare Before Christmas decorations. Visit Jack Skellington and the gang while you still can.
And because no visit to Disneyland Park is complete without a parade, keep an eye out for its Christmas Fantasy Parade. You’ll see dancing gingerbread cookies, Disney princesses, your favorite Disney characters and of course, Santa on his sleigh! Arrive early and snag a great spot.
These are just a few things that you can expect during the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort. For more information, visit https://disneyland.disney.go.com/events-tours/holidays-at-the-disneyland-resort/.
