Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

I spoke to Paul at Walt Disney World about their new Wild Africa Trek available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during Disney’s Summer To Remember press tour.

Watch the video for more information, pictures and a preview of what you can expect during Disney’s Wild Africa Trek.

Here’s a recap of what Paul had to say about the Wild Africa Trek:

Cost: $180/person + Tax

Special Pricing: $139/person + Tax – May 29th through August 25th on tours AFTER 11:45 a.m.

Requirements: At least 8 years old, 48 inches tall and between 45 lbs. and 300 lbs. – with gear on (which weighs 5-7 lbs.). They may do a quick weight verification when you check in.

Time: Wild Africa Treks are approximately three hours long and are scheduled between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. – though the times may vary.

Reservations: Suggested. Call (407) WDW-TOUR or (407) 939-8687

About: The Wild Africa Trek begins by going through the woods. A VIP safari will meet you halfway through the savannah. The safari will make a pit stop for a private African-inspired lunch. Disney will photograph your experience and provide you with the digital images on a CD at the end of your experience.

Well, if you can't make it to Africa and experience it there, might as well for a much cheaper option that seems entertaining!
