Someone Cares Soup Kitchen (Soup Kitchen) provides a daily nutritional meal to homeless, unemployed, working poor families, senior citizens, the unemployed or under-employed, the mentally and physically challenged and most important . the children.
Age restrictions: Minimum 15 years age requirement.

All children volunteering for the Holiday Carnival under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Toy Bagging

Help parents in need select the right toys for their children this holiday season. A very intimate time to help families. Shift times vary by location and date. Available locations: Orange or Placentia

Placentia Holiday Distribution
December 12th, 1:30PM-5PM
Volunteer at our Placentia Holiday Distribution and help with various tasks of distributing food, assisting in the Santa area, or decorating cookies. Opportunities to host your own craft table with your group and provide your own craft for up to 250 children.

Orange Holiday Distribution
December 15th, 9AM-12PM (setup 8:30AM-10AM)
Volunteer at our Orange Holiday Distribution and help with various tasks of distributing food, assisting in the Santa area, or decorating cookies. Opportunities to host your own craft table with your group and provide your own craft for up to 250 children.

Share Our Selves

Since its inception, SOS has been linking generous community members with families in need of extra support during the holidays. This holiday season marks the 49th year of the Share Our Selves annual Adopt A Family Program. This wonderful holiday tradition supports many struggling Orange County families by providing gifts and food for the holidays. This year, the Adopt A Family Program will connect donors with more than 1,400 families with children recommended by Costa Mesa and Santa Ana organizations and schools. The event will take place at the OC Fair & Event Center from December 17-20, 2018.

Volunteers can participate by supporting one of its programs: “Adopt A Family”, “Hold a Toy Drive or Hold a Food Drive” or volunteer at the event.

New, unwrapped toys for children and teens of all ages are requested for the families in our children’s and housing programs. Toys, sports equipment, cosmetics and movie tickets are all appreciated.

Donations requested by Friday, December 7, 2018. Please drop off donations at our Orange office, 1091 N. Batavia Street, Orange CA 92867 between 9am- 5pm, Monday – Friday.

South County Outreach

Come join us with a variety of different service opportunities at the Village of Hope: food box assembly, hygiene kit assembly, prepping and serving food in our kitchen, assisting with landscaping, a cleaning project around campus, etc. RSVP by Friday 12 noon before the 3rd Saturday.
