Beyond Orange County
Disneyland Resort after dark : Holidays
Disneyland Resort is majestic, and come night time, we get a different perspective of the magic that happens at the park.
A Christmas Fantasy Parade
The magic of the season comes to Main Street, U.S.A., as many Disney characters join Santa for a musical extravaganza. Last year, we set up shop to get the best view of the parade, and we caught it all on video! Check it out:
The Merriest Place on Earth
Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and Main Street, U.S.A. are decked out with holiday ornaments and festive décor.
Jingle Cruise
The Jingle Cruise is decked out in festive attire – even the sights and scenery! The skippers are also especially on their game with funny holiday jokes.
Disney California Adventure
Across the way from Disneyland you can find Disney California Adventure decked out in holiday spirit. Carthay Circle has an enormous tree making it the perfect backdrop for holiday pictures.
“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!”
Disney California Adventure hosts ¡Viva Navidad! during the holiday season and up until Three Kings Day. At this spot, you can try all kinds of authentic Mexican food including Pineapple and Golden Raisin tamales, buñuelos, pozole and so much more. You can also see live entertainment and the kids can have some craft time. Make sure to spend a few extra minutes checking out the souvenirs – they come all the way from Mexico! Trust me – I checked.
Catch Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party led by the Three Caballeros: Donald Duck and his amigos Panchito from Mexico and Jose Carioca from Brazil. Finally, you’ll also have the opportunity to take pictures with Disney characters dressed in festive attire.
World of Color – Winter Dreams
Watch images of characters come to life on a veil of mist, while water forms fanciful shapes in time to memorable music. This 28-minute nighttime spectacular show takes on a new spin during the holidays with new “Frozen” elements for you to sing along with in the show. Make sure to snag some Show Ear Hats too! You’ll become a part of the show as they change colors to correspond with the music. World of Color is so huge that you can get a great view from all the surrounding areas. However, if you want a spectacular view, you’ll want to get in the roped off areas. Get one of these spots by presenting either a valid Disney FASTPASS ticket for World of Color or a valid World of Color Dining Package voucher.
