Want to save a bundle while outfitting yourself and your family with fast, easy, inexpensive one-of-a-kind Halloween costumes? Head over to your closest Goodwill of Orange County and check out their Halloween sections! Halloween is the biggest sales driver for Goodwill- it’s the “Black Friday” of thrifting. Each store has a wonderfully decorated area set aside specifically for costumes and items that could be used to create them, including Dia del los Muertos items.
You can deck out your whole family in just a few minutes and with minimum expenditure. Challenge yourself to create a costume in ten minutes or less. It’s pretty easy… we did it!
All the costumes shown above were done in under ten minutes. The group photo theme was “Famous People”. Can you spot Harry Styles, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, and more?
There’s no need to spend $40 or more on a cheap-looking bagged costume from a big-box retailer- Goodwill will save you bundles and you’ll have some awesome pieces that might even be able to be used as part of your regular wardrobe after Halloween is over. I found at least one dress that I’ll wear again after my “Witching Hour” is over. Get to a Goodwill store (or the Goodwill Marketplace) now for the best selection. It’s the best place for one-stop Halloween shopping. Hurry, because the 31st is coming up fast!
Remember, 92% of every purchase directly supports programs helping children and adults with barriers to independence. 10,927 people benefited from Goodwill’s education, training and employment services last year. Every time you shop or donate, you are contributing to a good cause, getting some fabulous items, and don’t forget the donation receipt for tax time!
