Staying at the Omni San Francisco Hotel

While in San Francisco, la familia and I stayed at the Omni San Francisco Hotel, centrally located on California Street. It was our first time visiting an Omni Hotel though we had heard nothing but rave reviews about its other properties. Sure enough, it lived up to the hype.

Omni San Francisco Hotel

Location

This gorgeous non-smoking luxury hotel features some top-notch amenities for traveling families including being just steps away from four of San Francisco’s top attractions – Union Square, Ferry Building, Chinatown and North Beach (all of which we visited). It offers 362 luxury guest rooms and suites, and you can even jump on a complimentary guided walking tour at 10:00 a.m. each Saturday featuring San Francisco history, architecture, legends and more!

Deluxe room – 2 Double Beds

We walked into our suite and were greeted with the two most comfortable beds – in a super air-conditioned room. The hubster LOVES the room cold. Me? Not so much. Thank goodness for comfy robes.

I go and check out the restroom soon after dumping all my stuff on the bed. It’s here where I’m reminded of the luxury that the Omni Hotels exude. From the white cotton towels to the cleverly-wrapped toiletries, this hotel is holding it down.

Then of course, there’s a television front and center in the bedroom. I don’t have a television in my room at home, so when I get to lie down and watch all my favorite shows in bed… that’s my kind of treat.

The drawers were deep and held our clothes eliminating my need to pick them up off the floor. Whew!

And because this was a working vacay for me, the desk came in real handy at night. Thank goodness for WiFi!

Omni Kitchen Kids

Of course, the way to my heart is beyond the luxuries that one can afford – it’s through my kids. So when we checked in and the kids each got an Omni Kitchen Kids backpack filled with fun kiddy stuff like a Twisty Tomato plastic drinking straw (they receive the corresponding colorful plastic travelers’ drinking cup at a hotel’s restaurant), a cartoon matching memory game, washable crayons and a fun-filled activity book… well I was sold. The kids ran up to the room and immediately asked for a bottle of water so they could use their straws. I love that the hotel did this for them!

We had an AMAZING time exploring San Francisco, and because of the hotel’s close proximity to some of our favorite spots in the city, Omni San Francisco Hotel was a great choice for our family to stay at. Everyone at the hotel was so sweet and nice and made our stay even more pleasant by making us feel at home. I especially liked that they conversed with the kids and made them feel at home.

And check it – they gave us delicious welcome snacks! The chicklets had a blast digging in to this chocolatey goodness. Of course, I saved that water for me. I luv it!

I can’t wait to go back to the gorgeous city by the bay. I would love for la familia to experience it during the holidays – when all the beautiful Christmas decorations are up, it’s chilly enough to wear a jacket, and we can stroll through the streets sipping hot chocolate & some cafécito.
