It’s no secret that I love coffee – and McDonald’s. Being a vegetarian, I have very tight menu options when I visit, but one item that I always get is McDonald’s Gaviña gourmet coffee. I hang out with my mom and the kids, order a cup and hang out while the kids go crazy on the play set.
One of my favorite things about the coffee is the roast. It’s not a light roast, it’s somewhere in between a medium and a dark roast. Because I drink my coffee black, I’m able to taste the flavor and I can tell you, that it’s comparable to something that you would order at Starbucks.

While McDonald’s has offered brew-at-home coffee options for its customers in Canada (at the price of about $7 for a 12 ounce bag), I’m excited to see McDonald’s will soon be offering it’s coffee in whole-bean, ground and single-cup formats (perfect for my Keurig machine) in the US too! We’ll be able to recreate our favorite McCafe drinks at home sometime in 2014 – though exact dates haven’t been released.
