Mother’s Day Brunch at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant

Mother’s Day is coming up and one of the most popular gifts, the gift of a clean kitchen and no cooking, is easily attainable when you take out the Mamacita in your life out for brunch. My suggestion? Mother’s Day brunch at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant located outside of Knott’s Berry Farm.

I had the extreme pleasure of taking my Mami and baby with me to check out their regular Sunday brunch last week and it was delish! The deserts? Handmade! Yes, not by a machine in some factory, but my trained chefs in the Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner kitchen. Even their Mexican food was delicious. One of my favorite dishes, chile rellenos, was my must-try off of their menu. The egg that wrapped the chile was fluffy, like a little yellow cloud of goodness. If you get a chance to go, try it. No disappoints with that dish. And because of their extensive menu, there is something for everyone, even kids! I took my 11 month old baby with me along with his bib and spoon. His brunch consisted of steamed veggies, fruit, rice, beans and tortillas.

I asked what the difference was between the regular Sunday brunch and the Mother’s Day brunch and in a nutshell, it’s the size. The Mother’s Day brunch is larger and has unlimited champagne. Woohoo! More food AND it acts as a gift. No downside there.

When you visit the restaurants and shops outside of Knott’s you can park in their 3 hour parking lots. This will give you enough time to eat, browse and shop. Trust me, you’re going to want to buy some of their world-famous preserves and shortbread cookies.

I took A LOT of pictures last Sunday… mostly of their scrumptious deserts to give you an idea of what to expect. You can see the full album on our Facebook page because honestly, it would take an hour for the pictures to load on this post. Yes, that’s how many I took! Hey, I have to give you the full scoop.

And here’s something new that I just learned. Knott’s is giving mothers FREE admission with paid purchase of their mother’s day brunch on Sunday 5/13 only!! If you plan on taking advantage of this, you might not want to park in the three hour parking.

As for the deets, they are listed below. I also just got off of the phone with them. As of yesterday at 10:30 in the morning, they have 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. reservations open.

[disclaim]I was invited by Knott’s to try their regular Sunday brunch to get a taste of what’s to come this upcoming weekend and in order to facilitate my review.  My review was not purchased by Knott’s and it’s my honest and un-biased opinion that this is one of the best brunches that I have attended.[/disclaim]
