Legoland California Resort hosts Legoland Holiday Snow Days

Legoland Holiday Snow Days are here! The kids and I had our first experience during their Holiday Snow Days taking place in Carlsbad, California and it was so.much.fun! We took in as much chilly fun as we could on a wonderful Monday afternoon after I picked up the kid from school.

We passed the Duplo playground and headed straight to the main event at Fun Town. There was plenty for us to do for hours, including sledding, building a snowman and adding LEGO accessories, adding to the Holiday Village Build, enjoying a holiday treat at the Holiday Food Truck (in our case, a giant pretzel) and even dancing in “snow” as it fell on us, listening to carolers and meeting jolly ol’ St. LEGO Nick.

We stopped by Holiday Treats food truck and ordered a gigantic pretzel for only $5.95. You can find this truck right outside the Legoland water park entrance (soon to be LEGO Legends of Chima Water Park).

During Holiday Village Build, families can stop by the LEGO Clubhouse every weekend, and daily the week after Christmas. There will be a new “holiday theme” every week to prompt the guests what to build, as well as special building tips from the Clubhouse Brickology sessions. The models built by guests will be added to a “holiday display” in the Clubhouse (located right outside).

More than anything, there are plenty of awesome photo opportunities, and because just about everything is made out of LEGOs – it’s completely kid-friendly! It’s so much fun to just see the kids running around and admiring all the LEGO construction.

Make it an extra special visit by planning a stay at the newly built Legoland Hotel. It’s been decked out with holiday decorations too! And if you do stay there, don’t forget to book a meal at Bricks Family Restaurant. Trust me.

I missed the nightly lighting of the world’s largest LEGO Christmas tree, so if you go, you’ll have to let me know how it is. Legoland Holiday Snow Days ends on December 31st!
