Japan introduces the “Kuro Burger” (“Black Burger”)

One of my biggest reasons why I’m constantly on Instagram and other social networks is to see how other people live – and what they eat. Today, I was introduced to one of the most interesting burgers I have seen thus far – Japan’s “Kuro Burger” (“Black Burger”) via Burger King.

The buns on the Kuro Burger are made from bamboo charcoal, an onion and garlic sauce made with squid ink, beef patties made with black pepper, and black cheese (also made with bamboo charcoal).

If you’re traveling, or live in Japan, you can expect these new Burger King options on September 19.

As a vegetarian, there is just no way that I would eat this burger. However, I would definitely be tempted to get it without the meat, and possible the cheese because that just looks a little scary. I would also be interested to know why they decided to go with a black burger. Is this a Japanese trend? I have no idea.

What’s the strangest food you’ve seen or heard about recently? I would love to know. Meanwhile, I’ll be on Instagram stalking the hashtag: #WeirdFood.
