This weekend, I binged watched some of my all-time style and fashion documentary favorites on Netflix. ¡Me encanta style and fashion! I love it. But while I cannot afford to purchase everything on my must-have list, my $7.99 Netflix membership subscription allows me to gorge on everything style and fashion, whenever I feel like I need some inspiration and when I want watch some of my favorite fashion moments. These five style and fashion documentaries are sure to become some of your favorites too.
Anna Wintour: Bloomberg Game ChangersAlthough not an official biography (it states so in the beginning), Bloomberg Game Changers does a great job of not putting Anna Wintour in a bad light, instead highlights her climb to the top of Vogue.
The September IssueAnother Vogue-featuring documentary focusing on its biggest issue of the year, September, and what it takes to get there.
Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’sThe iconic New York store is the star in this documentary discussing the history of Bergdorf Goodman, designer’s trek to the floor and start-to-finish of creating its memorable window displays.
Bill Cunningham New YorkBill Cunningham is a living legend and author of “On The Streets” at The Times. This well-done documentary puts you in the line of fire alongside Bill as he gets on his bike and documents fashion and style trends out and about in New York City and abroad.
The TentsThis documentary is a history lesson of how Bryant Park become the mecca of New York Fashion Week and how its evolved and since moved to Lincoln Park. The star-studded cast gives us a great perspective on what it takes to put on a successful show.
