I received mine two weeks after delivering my sweet baby boy, Lucas. The journal came at a perfect moment since Lucas so still young and his first milestones were still fresh in my mind. The book has entries for My Family Tree, which I love since it has a space to add pictures. The journal begins from when you found out you were pregnant to the baby’s first birthday party. I enjoyed filling in what my thoughts were before labor and what names we had considered. I like that it forces me to write down those details that cannot be treasured through a picture. Those moments and thoughts must be written down. Journal entries like babies sleep patterns, things I liked at bathtime and first smile are some moments to write down.

I loved that it had a page per each month of babies life up a year. Makes it easy to fill in every month. This journal is just the beginning of many more milestones to come.

The journal was released in October and followed by two new books by Anne Geddes: This Little Baby and Anne Geddes Lullaby & Good Night. This Little Baby has pictures of babies in a garden scenes and is so bright and fun. The Lullaby & Good Night is a great read for putting baby to sleep as you look at the beautiful pictures of sleeping babies just hoping your baby will fall asleep soon. This set of books from the journal, to keep treasured moments, to the two bedtime books would be a great Babyshower or Welcome Baby presents. Any Mommy would love these as keepsakes to treasure babies First Year.
