Huggies has been a part of my son’s life since the day he was born. We did cloth diapers with our first kid, but it has been *almost* all disposable with our second one. Not having a dryer readily available has pushed us to rely on disposables. In doing so, we have gone back to Huggies every time we head into Target to do our shopping.
We rely on Huggies for our diapers and wipes need because of the quality and price. Sure, we’ve purchased other brands, but we’ve found that Huggies (specifically the Snug & Dry kind) are the ones that can put up with his uber-active lifestyle. They move comfortably with his body, allow him to climb up and down every surface he can reach in our home, and they put up with his crawling, jumping, rolling, walking, falling, etc. while keeping him dry.
The baby also has super-sensitive skin and Huggies do not irritate his skin, like other diapers have done. He wears his little Huggies Snug & Dry to sleep for 12 hours and in the morning, he is still dry and the bed is not smelling of pee or poop.
In fact, the other day we ran out of our diapers (because yes, we go through them like crazy) and we used an eco-friendly diaper instead. What happens when he woke up in the morning? He stood up and the diaper fell down to his knees because it didn’t absorb the pee! Ew.
Lastly, a big reason why we use Huggies Snug & Dry AND their wipes is because they feature Disney characters. Yes! This is true. I mean, I have to change his diaper, I’d rather have something cute to look at than just a brand’s name.
And the Huggies NaturalCare wipes? Yup, love them too. They’re thick, absorbant and I don’t have to use a million of them to clean up the poop. I use one wipe for pee and 2-3 for poop. Even the hubster who used to go through them like crazy every time he had to clean up the baby uses less! It’s pretty amazing – and affordable!
My son uses them A LOT too. His thing is cleaning his feet and hands with them. He has this thing with having his hands and feet clean all the time so he’ll just sit there and use the wipes to clean himself up. I prefer he does this too as opposed to cleaning up his feet in the sink. There’s a lot less mess this way.
If you get the wipes, I suggest you get the ones with the characters on the reusable container. I hand it to the baby to look at while I change him and it helps to distract him and keeps his hands busy so he’s not touching his *ahem* “thing”. The container also has that rubbery-type of slit where the wipes come out of, instead of the hard plastic. Much nicer on my hands when the wipes drop back into the tub.
